The name of this section of our web site used to be "The Trading Post" but we received some correspondence from lawyers advising us that the phrase "Trading Post" is a registered trade mark and that our use of the phrase constitutes an infringement and asked that we remove all references to the phrase within 14 days of the date the letter was issued. Now you will note that the client is identified as “The Trading Post Group Pty Ltd”. Sensis bought out this group some time ago and Sensis is a subsidiary of Telstra. Note paragraph 6 where it is stated in part "..and is also likely to mislead members of the public into believing that there is an association between your organisation and our clients." .... yeah right!!

It should be clearly noted that our web site has never had any association whatsoever with The Trading Post Group Pty Ltd.

If you do a search using Google and type in 'Trading Post', you get about 220,000 hits. Scrolling through the pages for an entry that referred to this section of our web site proved fruitless. After scanning over 575 hits (58 pages) it gets rather tiring and no reference to our Trading Post (as it was previously known) was found in that time so one would assume that we were on the fringes of matching criteria. Nevertheless, there must be other search engines that revealed our existence at that time and that is the reason we were served with a threatening letter.

So the name has been changed to comply with the letter.
