This years Cystic Fibrosis Supercruise, held on October 31, 2010, followed the same format as that of last year. The cruise was about 120km travelling up through the Bullsbrook and Chittering Valley region before finishing at Mussell Pool for a picnic.
The purpose of the cruise is to give the children affected by Cystic Fibrosis (along with their families and/or guardians) a ride in members cars and those taking part really enjoyed the day.
Cruise:
The cruise departed from Burswood Dome carpark and travelled through Middle Swan to the first re-group at the Upper Swan Shell service station on Great Northern Hwy. The cruise then continued on to Bullsbrook, then via Chittering Road and then on to Chittering Valley Road. Back onto Chittering Road which then becomes Muchea East Road and then via Polinelli Rd, Jenkins Road and finally back onto Chittering Road to head back into Bullsbrook. From Bullsbrook back to Upper Swan and then via Gnangara Road to Lord Street and then into Whiteman Park and to the Mussell Pool picnic grounds. About 42 cars participated on the cruise and it was well supported by club members and members of Perth-WRX.
Fundraising:
Attendees to the Supercruise kindly donated $5 per person which raised $470.
At the November club meeting a cheque for $500 was presented to CF representative Natalie. Natalie thanked members for their ongoing support and assured everyone that every little bit helps make life a little easier for those affected by CF.
Natalie presented a laminated Certificate of Appreciation to the club for the ongoing support of Cystic Fibrosis.
